And as wikipedia describes it, “Fine-art photography is photography created in line with the vision of the photographer as artist, using photography as a medium for creative expression. The goal of fine-art photography is to express an idea, a message, or an emotion. This stands in contrast to representational photography, such as photojournalism, which provides a documentary visual account of specific subjects and events, literally representing objective reality rather than the subjective intent of the photographer.”
I will be honest, I have had to read these descriptions and watch YouTube videos to get my head around the genre and in this process learn’t a lot and have been really inspired.
The crazy thing is that even through I struggle with the definition as well as being called an artist, according to the definition, I have actually created some fine art of my own in my Imperfect Project.
I have some great fine art photographers lined up for this month, and we start with Mrs Hepburn. Her creative showcase, Exploring The Fine Art In Creative Photography, on the Hunters of Light YouTube Channel.
Our friends over at Canon South Africa have generously provided another Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM Lens to the winner of the Fine Art month photo competition. You can enter up to 4 fine art images on the Hunters of Light website to stand in line to win this incredible lens.
Remember to subscribe and hit the notifications bell to be notified when we add new content. Besides the fact that I would greatly appreciate it and it will help the channel grow and motivate and inspire more people, there are almost 100 hours of content there. From food photography to sports, styling, the list goes on.
Thanks for reading this and being a part of the Hunters of Light journey, i look forward to your contributions in this month’s photo competition.
Much love and stay safe.
