I’m curious to know what everyones basic workflow process is. For instance. 1. Open in raw. 2. Alter exposure. 3. Highlight slider….etc.

    It depends on the shoot.

    5. Apply initial global settings to all images
    6. White balance
    7. Exposure
    8. Brightness
    9. Highlights
    10. Crop
    11. Vignette
    12. Export recipe (High res / low res watermarked)
    13. Backup finals to Drobo

    12. Spot / clone / as required

    Birds

    1. Download the cards
    2. Copy to Drobo
    3. Import into Capture one
    4. (Wait for days as I think they all suck and I am the client)
    5. Selects (I find some cool ones)
    6. Apply initial global settings to all images
    7. White balance
    8. Exposure
    9. Brightness
    10. Highlights
    11. Crop
    12. Export recipe (Low res watermarked website, higher res watermarked Facebook)
    13. Backup finals to Drobo

Very little time spent in Photoshop, i try to be as efficient as i can so i don’t need to do that additional stage.
Capture one has a lot of great tools that do 99% of what i need.

For most of my aviation edits, this is the workflow:

    1. Import from cards onto PC

    2. Import photos into Luminar

    3. Browse through all images and edit hero shots

    4. Export and watermark hero shots

    5. Backup RAW images and edited, unwatermarked photos onto external hard drive.

    6. In the following days and weeks I’ll go through the rest of the photos and edit up the other ones I like.

And of course Social Media uploads start from point 4 and onwards.

    In Luminar:

    1. Crop

    2. Exposure, shadows, highlights

    3. White Balance

    4. Colours

    5. Sharpen

And in some cases I’ll use vignette, add sunrays etc
