We have 3294 members who along with the Hunters of Light team created 13 322 posts and those posts have had 336 840 comments and reactions.
We are blown away at how the Hunters of Light initiative has grown and continues to attract likeminded photographers. And not only professional photographers, hobbyists, beginners and people who just love seeing the incredible images the group has produced.

We started off at a crazy pace – just check out the first introduction I put on the channel.
Yes, for the first 3 weeks we had 2 live-streamed presentations every day. I suppose back then we had a little more time on our hands, but that was an incredible effort and it has culminated in there now being over 100 hours of video content available absolutely free!
Besides the fact that we would greatly appreciate it and it will help the channel, please subscribe, like, hit the notification bell and of course, share the channel with your photography friends to help the channel grow so more people can see the content.

The team have built an amazing website which is updated almost daily and contains articles, discussion forums, product reviews, photography competitions to win great prizes and a store to purchase photographer contracts, model releases and Hunters of Light merchandise.
All this is absolutely free!
You can also buy photographer contract templates & model releases on the online store.
We could go on and on, but suffice to say we love and appreciate every single person who has come to the website, watched a video, liked a post, submitted an entry into the competition, where ever you have touched us, we appreciate you.

Firstly, just being on the Facebook group, liking, sharing, etc is a great help – even those who are enjoying a free subscription to the website. We see you and thank you for being a part of the journey.
If you join the website as a paid member, the R60 a month gives you access to all areas of the site, importantly, the tutorials and all the discussion forums.
You can buy a cool t-shirt, we have some killer Hunters of Light merchandise so you will be recognised on the street as a true connoisseur!
And then of course, you can buy us a coffee 🙂
Yes, we love our coffee, but this is a great way that you can show your appreciation to the team for all the hard work they have put in to create the content that we hope has educated, motivated and inspired you over the last year.
You can support the initiative financially. By buying us a coffee, you donate a small amount which helps us continue to create the content and provide more giveaways and prizes. – So click here to buy us a coffee for $3.
Canon South Africa and Roger Machin have been incredibly supportive, from sponsored presentations to giveaways and competition prize – and they are only going to get better!
So far we have given away loads of 50mm lenses, goody bags, and a Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro Lens will be given away this month and next month Canon is providing a Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L for the competition winner…
All you have to do is enter the competition, it cannot be simpler.
We do all this because we love photography and we love helping others improve their skills and be motivated to go out there every day and be successful.
If we have helped just one person through this crazy times, we have been successful.
So thank you.
Hunters of Light is an initiative to help motivate and inspire photographers. We welcome photographers of all skill levels and all camera brands, this group is all about creating beautiful images.
The Hunters of Light was founded by Quintin Mills, a Johannesburg photographer and videographer.
