What an amazing image, well done Joggie Van Staden, thank you for uploading your image of the eye of one of your champion racing pigeons.
I took this with A Pentax K1000, Ektachrome 64ASA slide film with a home-made lens setup using a Leitz 10X Microscope lens mounted on a PVC pipe. Midday, full sunlight with the camera on a tripod – setting off the shutter with my knee via a remote cable and focusing by moving the birds’ eye closer and further from the lens. Great fun!
